About the Nautilus T516 Treadmill - Find Out What This Treadmill Is All About

The T516 is nicely loaded with a 3.2 horsepower motor. 3.0 HP is considered quite good. Anything above is extra for the super demanding athlete.

Running Surface Area Size

Okay, the Nautilus T516 over-delivers on power, but then comes in a little under what I consider the ideal running deck length. You only get a 58 inch long running surface. It's not bad, but not ideal. It's too bad, because a the combination of a 3.2 HP motor and 60 inch long running deck would have been quite the fitness machine.

Store it Away Easily

The T516 easily folds on its own. No hefting, pulling, and lifting to fold and un-fold this treadmill.

Sprint Like Crazy

It's no surprise the top speed is impressive at 15 miles per hour given the 3.2 horsepower motor. If you're into high intensity interval training, then this could very well be the machine for you.

Hands-Free Heart Rate Monitoring

I do not like heart rate monitoring systems that require me to maintain a grip on pulse sensors. I like pumping my arms. The folks at Nautilus understand this and hence you get a wireless chest strap for monitoring your heart rate. This is a must for any premium treadmill.

iFit Live Capability

If you're researching treadmills, then at some point you'll stumble on iFit live. iFit Live is a feature on some treadmills that track your workouts. Better yet, you can enter in thousands of running courses and/or trails which the T516 computer (via iFit Live) will replicate. What I mean by this is as you hit a hill on the real course you entered, the treadmill will incline.

Think of the potential with iFit live. If you're training for a race, train on the real terrain no matter where it is (most cities are in the software because it uses a very popular mapping software). Note, you must pay extra for iFit software. The Nautilus T516 treadmill simply comes with the capability to use iFit Live.

With an incline to a maximum of 15 percent, you'll be able to replicate a lot of hills in your training - whether you use the iFit technology or not.

Low Impact Running and Jogging

This treadmill has a nice low impact feature with deck suspension technology. The deck is actually suspended which allows some give on every foot impact.
